Joseph Arthur was first discovered by Peter Gabriel in the mid-90’s, and was subsequently signed to his ‘Real World’ record label. His innate songwriting ability is conveyed through his haunting melodies and his evocative lyrics. His music can be best appreciated during his live performances, where he uses looping techniques while simultaneously painting abstract designs. Arthur also recently released a book of original art called ‘We Almost Made it’, with a 21-track mostly-instrumental album, ‘The Invisible Parade’ as accompaniment. His t-shirt design was created for the Yellow Bird Project to benefit MercyCorps.

We all contemplate humanity, whether we are dominated by our hearts or our mind, whether our state of nature is inherently good or corrupt. Perhaps, Joseph Arthur tries to illustrate his understanding of humankind or maybe he just designed a really awesome tee shirt.
