Eleanor Rudge

YBP has collaborated with the incredibly talented artist Eleanor Rudge to create a poster that we think emulates the YBP way. The poster demonstrates how you - the people - literally hold this project together. Now we’re calling on you to help us promote! We need people who are willing to spread their wings by putting up posters in bars, restaurants, street, dorm rooms, office buildings… anywhere! If you’d like to help out, write to us!

Tweat Tweat! We have received many emails from you kind folks asking if there was any way in which you could help YBP. Well, aside from buying a t-shirt now there are other ways. Our Tweet Team page has banners which are available for you to display on your websites, in your blogs, or in comment sections. And for those of you who would like to do more, get in touch with us, because there are ways you can help!

I Like Food

YBP has collaborated with Kara Zuaro, author of I LIKE FOOD, FOOD TASTES GOOD: In the Kitchen with your Favourite Bands’ to bring you this special promotion. ‘I LIKE FOOD, FOOD TASTES GOOD’ is a brilliant concept; Kara has brought together an all-star team of indie artists, and assembled each their own favourite recipes. Recipes include Death Cab for Cutie’s peanut butter and veggie sausage sandwich, as well as other recipes from the likes of the Decemberists, Belle & Sebastian, Grizzly Bear, Franz Ferdinand, and many many more bands.

This fantastic amalgamation of artists also includes two YBP contributors: Devendra Banhart, and Hayden. Devendra shares his special recipe for Africanas Ricas, while Hayden reveals the secret to his exploding club sandwich. So, for a limited time when you order either a Devendra tee, or a Hayden tee, plus any other tee of your choice, you will receive a FREE copy of Kara’s cookbook.

The best thing about this cookbook is the style in which it’s written. The chapters are divided into food sections, based on courses, and each recipe is accompanied by a brief anecdote about her encounter with the band. Special for YBP, Kara has signed each book individually with a personalized quote.

So now you can listen to your favourite bands, wear their t-shirt, help their favourite charity, and cook their favourite recipes. Bon appetite!

YBP was recently featured on La Blogothèque, one of our favourite mp3blogs. The coolest thing about their site, is their take away shows where live performances are captured in the most exotic locations, and shared with the public for free! You can watch Andrew Bird as he whistles away down the narrow side streets of Paris. Or behold the Arcade Fire as they perform Neon Bible from the inside of an elevator.

Watch My Brightest Diamond in New York, surrounded by foliage while she performs a fabulous rendition of her song ‘Disappear’.
