About The Band
Bloc party is an English indie-rock band originally from Essex, consisting of lead singer/guitarist Kele Okereke, Russel Lissack on lead guitar, Gordon Moakes on bass/synth and Matt Tong on the drums. Their first album Silent Alarm in 2005 was named "Indie Album of the Year" at the 2006 PLUG Awards. Their newest album Intimacy features new electronic additions that are sure to blow the mind, and their newest single One More Chance marks their current temporary hiatus. An ecclectic mix of rock 'n roll awesomeness such as Joy Division, Gang of Four and the Smiths, with a little Strokes style pop, Bloc Party is surely a crowd pleaser.
About The Cause
Bread & Roses is an public foundation committed to spreading social justice. Their mission is to raise money and obtain access to health care, economic justice, civil and human rights for those in need. They promote safety and social justice in the community and additionally provide donor services and leadership development. Bread & Roses have been committed to their cause for over thirty years!
