About The Shirt
We have all been manipulated by the people who we vote for, the news we count on, the food we eat, moreover we have seen others refuse ugly truths on environmental change. Let's hope for a new year of truths in the broader social world, in our political communities, and in our homes. Open yourself to the possibilities that truth holds all while wearing a downy soft AA track t-shirt and ensuring accountability of polluters on our waterways through Lake Ontario Waterkeeper.
About The Band
Broken Social Scene is a Canadian indie rock supergroup, which was formed by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning in 1999. It now amalgamates 19 people from other related acts, including Feist, Metric, The Dears, Stars, and others. Justin Peroff, drummer from Broken Social Scene, designed this tee exclusively for the Yellow Bird Project. All of the profits from the sale of this t-shirt will benefit Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, which is an environmental justice organization working to win back the right to swim, drink, and fish in every waterway.
About The Charity
Lake Ontario Waterkeeper is an environmental justice organization working to win back the right to swim, drink, and fish in every waterway. Some of their mandates include constant waterfront monitoring to win back polluted beaches, and educating the public about threats to clean water and the tools available to protect communities. They are a collective of over 150 water programs worldwide.
They collaborated with fame producer Chris Brown to produce "At the Barricades: Volume 1", which is a music compilation that was assembled and released to raise awareness of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper initiative.
