    About Jay Reatard's T-Shirt

This t-shirt, we humbly present to you, as a memento in memory of Jay Reatard (1980 - 2010). Drawn by Jonthan Lindley using a black pen on A2 paper, this design depicts a Gibson Flying V - one of Jay's trademark guitars. The brand name has been taken off the headstock and replaced with the intials 'JR'. We felt that the Flying V was the best choice of symbol to embody Jay, his life, and his music. About The Band

Most know him as Jay Reatard, others officially as Jimmy Lee Lindsay Jr. However which way you identify him, music was in every fibre of his being. Leaving school in grade 8 was a logical choice for Lindsay, he knew he wanted to do one thing, immerse himself in creating music. From starting out as a one man punk-rock band, Lindsey evolved as a songwriter and musician, smashing out record after record. Throughout his career he jumped from one musical endeavor to the next accumulating a massive underground following and releasing a huge collection of albums. In 2008, Lindsay signed with New York label Matador Records and soon released what would be his final album, 'Watch Me Fall'. In early 2010, aged just 29, Lindsay passed away in his sleep leaving a lifetime of musical accomplishments and a solid mark on the underground punk-rock scene.

    About The Cause

Jay's father chose to designate the profits from this shirt to the St. Jude's Research Hospital. With the help of some of today's most gifted researchers, the discoveries which have been made at this facility have literally changed the way the world treats children with cancer and other diseases. In addition to that, all patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude's are treated, regardless of the family's ability to pay.
