Laura Veirs
About The T-Shirt
Introducing the 9 lives of Laura Veir's t-shirt. Perhaps Veirs is aptly demonstrating how both the creation and consumption of music is limitless, how people from all different cultures and all different wakes of life enjoy the art of music, or perhaps she is just visualizing her dream of her two cats playing the banjo. The choice is up to you, either way we are sure you will enjoy the t-shirt, with profits going towards the Whale Museum in the San Juan Islands.
About The Band
Laura Veirs is a singer/songwriter from Colorado Springs, Colorado. With a background replete with geology, mandarin Chinese, and feminist punk rock, Laura had a lot to write about when she found her in niche in folk music. Her last two albums, both critically acclaimed, have explored some of the natural elements of the earth - "air" in the "Year of Meteors", and "water" in "Saltbreakers". Her most recent release "July Flame" has received much well-deserved critical acclaim.
About The Cause
The Whale Museum, in the San Juan island has existed for 30 years, promoting stewardship of whales and the Salish Sea ecosystem through education and research. Through various initiatives, like the Orca Adoption Program, and the Soundwatch Boater Education Program, the Whale Museum have played an important role in funding research to preserve and understand one of our most precious species.
