About The Band
My Brightest Diamond is Shara Worden, the daughter of a National Accordian Champion and a church organist. She grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan, (an area well-documented by labelmate and part-time collaborator Sufjan Stevens), undergoing an eclectic musicial education in the process; today she cites influences as wide-ranging as Spanish tango, Sunday morning gospel, and Debussy. Her delicate, passionate and musically dense material evokes a beautiful fragility, effortlessly reminiscent of Bjork and Polly Harvey.
About The Cause
Through mentoring, educational and live performance based-programs, Road Recovery helps young people find their way towards a healthy future. RR is comprised of entertainment industry professionals whose lives have been touched by addiction and other adversities and now wish to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
