Yes It's True... We Have a Theme Song!
Ladies and gentlemen of the World Wide Web. We are pleased to announce..... No wait. We are downright ECSTATIC to be announcing the release of our very own YBP theme song. That's right folks! Now you can sing along to the words of the Yellow Bird. For free! The song is called A Field of Birds, and it's written and performed by The Tallest Man on Earth.
How Did This Theme Song Come About?
For some time now, we have been looking for someone to write an original theme song for YBP. Then The Tallest Man On Earth came along.
The Tallest Man On Earth
After first hearing about a Swedish singer who goes by the name of The Tallest Man On Earth, and listening to his song ‘I Won’t Be Found’ we knew that he would be a perfect fit. We wanted this happy folky twang to be the voice that embodies the Yellow Bird Project.
So, we contacted him and humbly asked him if he would be interested in contributing an original theme song for YBP. We asked him to write something that is in any way inspired by the Yellow Bird Project. Whether that be lyrically, musically, or thematically. 3 demo tapes later, we have an original theme song, and it’s called A Field of Birds.
CD Artwork
We then needed an artwork theme to accompany this song. We called upon Eleanor Rudge, one of our favourite illustrators who has contributed artwork for us in the past. A Gift of Song
This song is a gift to our supporters, and also a way for us to spread the word about YBP. The more people listen to this song, the more people will find out about our initiative, and the more people find out about us, the more money we can raise through t-shirt sales, and so on...
