About The Band
Beach House is an alternative band from Baltimore, Maryland. The duo comprises of French-born Victoria Legrand and Baltimore local Alex Scally. Since forming in 2004 they have released three studio albums, their latest, Teen Dream, was produced by Chris Coady who has worked with fellow YBP contributors TV on the Radio
and Grizzly Bear. The album shows their penchant for creating positively entrancing music which encompasses an amalgamation of intoxicating lyrics, keyboards, organs, drums and guitar. Their sound is sure to leave you in a state of pure insouciance.
About The Cause
House of Ruth is a Maryland based organization established to provide assistance to victims of domestic violence. Since 1977 they have been helping women and their families who are affected by domestic abuse, by providing them with support services, counseling and emergency refuge. Their goal is to promote education, prevention and intervention within the community and ultimately hope to one day, eradicate domestic violence from all homes in Maryland.
