About The Band

Ra Ra Riot is an indie rock band from Syracuse, New York. The band is made up of of vocalist Wes Miles, bassist Mathieu Santos, guitarist Milo Bonacci, violinist Rebecca Zeller, and drummer Gabriel Duquette. Their debut album 'The Rhumb Line' (released via Barsuk) is hailed as one of the most critically acclaimed records of 2008. They have toured with the Editors, Tokyo Police Club, and most recently Death Cab for Cutie.

About The Cause

John Ryan Pike was a friend and drummer of Ra Ra Riot, who passed away tragically in June of 2007, at the young age of 23. Among other things, The John Pike Memorial Project was set up in his name to provide the public with access to musical instruments, and to establish a place for musicians to learn, share and collaborate with one another. According to the band, John also loved nature, and right before he passed away had been growing lots of fruits, vegetables, and he was really proud of the pumpkins he had been growing. This design, created by The Silent Giants, is meant to embody John, and all profits will go towards this Memorial Project which was created in his name.
